ReplyDeleteSOALAN:

Answer: The first wave of globalization was sparked by decrease in tariff barriers and new technologies that resulted in declining transportation costs, the main agent that drove the process of globalization was how much muscle, horsepower, wind power, steam power a country had and how creatively it could deploy that power.
The wave of globalization was largely driven by European and American business and individuals. The export as a share of world income double to 8% and per capita incomes rises by 0.5%. The countries that active participated in globalization such as United States, become the richest countries in the world. First wave of globalization was brought to an end by World War 1.

ReplyDeleteQuestion: What is the formula of openness?
Answer: As a rough measure of the importance of international trade in a nation's economy, we can look at the nation's exports and imports as a percentage of its gross domestic product (GDP). This ratio is known as openness. The formula of openness is the sum of the export and import and divided by gross domestic product (GDP). For example, the United States export 11 percent of its GDP while imports were 16 percent of GDP. The openness of the U.S. economy to trade thus equaled 27 percent.

ReplyDeleteSoalan: Apakah peranan perdagangan antarabangsa
Jawapan:-
1- Meningkatkan tukaran asing.

ReplyDeleteQUESTION: What is fallacies of international trade?
ANSWER:
The first fallacy is zero - sum activity which they think if one trading party gains the other must lose. In fact , both partners gain from trade. As an example, Malaysia are able to supply rubber while Indonesia are able to supply rice. The larger production of rubber makes it possible for Malaysia to use revenues from their rubber sales to purchase Indonesia rice. At the same time Indonesia gaining by doing the opposite, use revenues from rice to purchase rubber. Thus, both country achieved mutual gains.
The second fallacy is import reduce employment while export promote growth and employment. As an example, if American import the goods of German, German have the purchasing power to buy American’s goods. If German are unable to sell as much as America they will have fewer dollar leads to decrease in import and employment will reduce in US.

While international trade is really subset of international economics as it focuses dirrectly on the issues of cross-border trade considering such things as the effects of tariffs or embargoes. The advantages of trade for both the sender and reciever and the important facts of trade such as exports and import banks, bill of landing and all the aspects on international economics that make it worse.

ReplyDeleteQUESTION : Trade is a zero-sum activity. What is the meaning of zero-sum activity and how it was happen?
ANSWER : The zero-sum activity is if one trading party gains, the other must lose. In fact, just the opposite situation occurs in trade. It means, both partner gain from trade(positive-sum activity). The countries can specialize in certain types of goods that they will export and with those exports they can afford to buy imports that other countries will specialize in. For example, consider the case of trade between Brazil and the United States. These countries are able to produce a larger joint output when Brazilians supplly coffee and Americans supply wheat. The larger production makes it possible for Brazilians supply wheat. The larger production makes it possible for Brazilians to gain by using revenues from their coffee sales to purchase American wheat. At the same time, American gain by doing the opposite by using revenues from their wheat sales to purchase Brazilians coffee. In turn, the larger joint output provides the basis for the mutual gains achieved by both(win-win situation).

ReplyDeleteQ: Discuss the importance of globalization
A: Globalization is the expansion of local economies and businesses into a broader, international market place. The importance of globalization is they have comparative advantage which state that countries that are good at producing a particular good are better off exporting it to countries that are less efficient at producing that good. So, the citizens of each nation can gain by spending more of their time and resources doing those things in which they have a relative advantage, which is they can produce a good at a lower opportunity cost.
Also, globalization results in gains from the competitive process that helps keep domestic producers in the market and provides them with a strong incentives to improve the quality of the products to make stay in market and expand their business. Globalization also usually weakens monopolies. As countries open their markets, their monopoly producers will face the competition from foreign firms.
