European
Union (EU) was created in 1958 in order to foster economic cooperation: the
idea being that countries that trade with one another become economically
interdependent and so more likely to avoid conflict. In June 2016, United
Kingdom (UK), one of the 28 members voted to leave European Union. However, this has arroused different responses,
either positive or negative. The negative responses disagree the Brexit as EU
can provide economic benefits, workers’ rights, food, health and animal rights,
job opportunities, and free movement across EU. For those who voted for Brexit,
they support that leaving EU can help UK to save budget, allowing UK to establish
its own free trade regimes and UK can controls the number of immigration. Nevertheless,
UK will only leave on 29th March 2019, with or without a deal unless
both sides agree to extend the deadline.
Kesatuan Eropah (EU)
