Apakah
Perang Perdagangan?
China. Donald Trump mengenakan tarif 25% daripada import barangan Cina sebanyak
RM34 bilion pada 6th Julai. China bertindak balas dengan tarif bersaiz serupa
pada produk US.
kedua-dua negara sedang menambah tarif.
What is Trade War? Trade War is a situation in which countries try to damage each other's trade, typically by the imposition of tariffs or quota restrictions. Tariff is a tax or duty paid on particular class of imports or exports. Recently, there is a trade war between US and China. Donald Trump imposed 25% tariff of RM34 billions of import Chinese goods on 6th July. China respond with similar sized tariff on US products. Again, 16% tariff was added to Chinese goods with China respond proportionally. This shown us that both countries are adding on the tariff.
With trade war continues, we might wonder, who will win the trade war? We can see that there is an impact on China because almost 20% of the China’s export goes to US. GDP of China will drop 0.5% or more if trade war were meant to continue. On the other hand, even if China lose the trade war, China still can make profit by exporting labor intensive product to other countries. Therefore, it can’t really be judged. Besides that, in the long run, there is no winner. This is because in the long run, the burdens are still bared by the people around the countries. Or trade war isn’t your concern? But the diplomatic level of the harsh feeling between both countries?
